Blades of Avernum is divided into two groups: on one side the powerful Empire that controls the land, and on the other, the rebel forces hidden in caves who want to recover their lands. You have to decide for whom you want to fight. You can be a spy and destroy the rebels, or on the contrary fight against the Empire.
Through the adventures in Blades of Avernum you have to cross underground rivers, run as fast as you can against time, confront diabolic creatures, make agreements with vampires to be your allies, fight in terrible battles, etc.
